After what has been probably at least 5 years, I finally got an updated persription. I'm thrilled that I can see the world again in 20/20 vision! However, due to the large change in perscription, my vision now has a curved appearance on the sides. I did have all the measurements and glasses re-checked, so they're fine. The doctor and several other message board postings states that this should only last for a couple days. If others have had changes in their perscription, how long does it take to get used to them?

I will say that in the meantime, staring at walls has been quite amusing.

Yes, it should only take a couple of days. In the meantime, please navigate steps very carefully! Speaking from experience here. Also watch for dizziness when refocusing from one object up close to one far away.

If you are diabetic, it could also be a blood sugar issue.
