I smoked for 25 yrs!! We went over to a friends house tonight, and they both smoke, alot! They didn`t have a door opened or any ventilation. My eyes started burning, and then I felt "that terrible knudge" that says,"Awwwww... smoking a cigarette now would be the thing to do!" Socializing...something to do with your hands!
No wonder I have gained weight.
I have been a non-smoker for 2 yrs. now, but does this feeling ever go away!!!!

Not for me. After smoking for 11 years (1 pack/week), I quit for about two years, only to start up again after having various lapses (smoking a cig or two) when out with friends. The fact that you didn't give in says a lot. Stay strong.
I quit after being a smoker for over 30 years. When I decided to finally quit, it took me 2 weeks total. I haven't smoked in around 5 years now, and I haven't been tempted.
I haven't smoked in well over 10 years. For the first few years after I quit, I would sometimes suddenly - out of the blue - find myself wanting a cigarette. But now, no. In fact, there are times when I have a hard time believing that I ever smoked in the first place (why?). It's just not something I have any desire to do now.

I was a heavy smoker for 5 years (5 packs a day!). I quit in 1985. It literally took me around 3 years for that feeling to go away. Cigarettes have always stunk, it just smells even stronger when you used to smoke and then quit. I am soooo glad I no longer have that desire or urge.
Cigarette smoke has bothered me to no end since that time. It's been nineteen years so I can pretty much say it will bother me for the rest of my life.
