My daughter pulled a groin muscle before, doing crunches in PE. We took her to the doctor, because she had inguinal hernia repairs done as an infant, and we wanted to make sure it wasn't something more than a pulled muscle. The doctor said to treat it with ibuprofen and a heating pad. It took a couple of weeks for her to feel better.
