Had sinus surgery 4 years ago. He took out 4 on one side, 5 on the other and was finally able to breathe through my nose after 3 years of being clogged.

LOL...No, you don't 'tunnel', you're not excavating or doing an archaeological dig, all you're doing is putting saliva up there...LOL. You never never know if you never never go. If you could stick your tongue or spit up your nose I would have said do that, so a finger is the next best thing
To unstop that nostril, tonight, sleep on the other side of your body. If it doesn't unstop by moving to the other nostril, you may have a polyp. I had one about the size of a Great Northern Bean.
