I have this every single morning since moving to the west coast. It is very dry here. There is notoriously also a smog problem in L.A. (though it's gotten much better since its peak in the 80s).

I lived for many years in the dry Rocky Mountain west and just figured people who complained about allergies were wusses and just making it up.

Then I moved to the upper Midwest and now every spring I have intermittent sinus headaches, itchy eyes, sneezing fits and congestion. I'm a believer. And this has been a very wet spring, followed by some nice balmy weather so everything is growing and pollinating like crazy.
