I feel bad complaining about it...but I wish I could make it stop My older coworker caughs, to the point of gagging, all day, every freakin day. It's allergies...it happens every year around allergy season. We now have a bigger office and I have overheard several people come up to her to offer help...a glass of water, benadryl, something. She always says no thank you, and that it's allergies & her dr prescribed medicine but she doesn't like to take it, or something to that effect. I'm sure it sucks for her more than me but...I can't freaking listen to it anymore! She even hacks into the phone while talking to people! It's just...so....loud, and disgusting....and irritating
If it's allergies a glass of water is not going to help. Maybe Benadryl makes her sick. Maybe her prescribed medicine makes her tired. I'm sure it's a lot worse for her than it is for you. You could offer her a cough drop but she has probably already tried everything.
I feel bad, because my co-workers have to listen to me as I sniffle and sneeze throughout the day. This lasts for about a month and a half, and everyone can clearly see how miserable I am during this time. I have tried everything... pills, local honey, nasal spray. This just makes me realize how thankful I am that I have understanding co-workers.
