Sirtris Pharmaceutical company is set to begin Human Trials in their Red Wine Compound in Humans in 2008. This compound in theory and in the Lab is supposed to express the Sirt-1 Genes in our bodies which are our anti aging and longevity genes.

Seems like someone is trying to take the enjoyment out of drinking a glass of red wine. Why mess with a really good thing?

What's interesting is that the longest living person ever with a proven birth certificate Jeanne Calment lived to 122 years old (1875-1997). What was her secret .......who really knows but she said it was Olive Oil and she ate it with every meal and even rubbed it on her skin and also she drank a glass of dry French Red Wine since about 15 with her meals until her death.
