I think this is probably the closest to what I have but still not quite the same. I guess I can't worry too much it hasn't killed me yet although for a doctor to have no idea doesn't make you feel any better -LOL

I would get a second opinion and maybe a liver panel done. I had those and it turned out it was because I had liver disease and needed a liver transplant.

Petechia can be caused by a SERIOUS medical condition. You should see your doctor asap.

Holy crap! that is so scary. Are you doing well now?
Luckily in my routine blood test a couple months ago it included a liver panel and came back normal.
Did the spots on your face have enough blood that you could wipe it off it you got it before it dried?

Hello. Did you find out what this was? I believe I have exactly the same thing. The tiniest speck of red appears as if from no where and smears when I wipe it away. They can appear anywhere on my face. You wouldn't see them if you didn't look closely. They can be wiped away easily and leave no mark but it's really weird and I really want to find out what it is so that it stops! It looks like I've had orange/red pollen dust blown on my face sometimes. Are you still on this forum and please could you tell me if you got to the bottom of this as I'm having trouble working out what it could be?!

Have your doctor do a CBC (blood test) and check your "platelets"...

Complete Blood Count (CBC)

I have the same thing too. Started about 6 months ago.
Didn't think anything of it until it was happening more and more.
All blood tests have come back normal so far but still waiting for the clotting one.
Hope one of us can come up with an answer.
