I've worn a uniform for work every single day for the last 5 years, and over the last 2, I've noticed that the pants have created a dark line of skin on my belly where the waistband sits/rubs.

If it's caused by your clothes rubbing against you, try wearing a thin synthetic undershirt. Another option would be to try the anti-chafing gels that runners use, or the one that monistat makes (which makes an excellent makeup primer but I've never tried it for its intended purpose).
