I have a friend who has a few extra pounds and said it's due to a hormone imbalance. She said that once she gets said imbalance fixed, she should be able to shed pounds like crazy. Has anyone had similar experiences with hormone issues and weigh gain/loss? And how much luck did you have losing weight once they got sorted out?

I have noticed that when I use progesterone regularly, I shed some 'water weight' pretty quickly. However, I'm not significantly overweight.

Is water weight something that can be gained because of hormone imbalances? And how quickly do you shed it?

I have the opposite effect with progesterone, it blows my chest up like a pair of water balloons and I have to put a lot of effort into not gaining all over.

progesterone is terrible for weight gain, I refuse to take it now and decided just to get a hysterectomy instead.

I have recently discovered a system for loosing weight! It doesn't involve long cardio hours, or striving yourself...it's Simply taping into a hormone in our bodies called leptin. Leptin helps speed up the metabolism. It also gives you exact times to indulge your favorite sweets, that you deprive yourself of. This is something that has helped me a lot. I hope that this helps anyone looking at the more hormonal sides to weight loss.
