Has anyone had experience with Parkinson's disease? Either living with it yourself or with another person who has it. What is most difficult about it? Does medication reduce or stop the symptoms?

My Mom has it. She says she always hurts all over, finds it hard to stand up, let alone walk. She is in the early to moderate stages of it. She had it long before she knew she had it. She just chalked it up to old age. And she is only 73.
One of my sisters lives with her and helps take care of her.
