But at least the label is different. That took effort. Just imagine the brilliant minds sitting around the table thinking up these names - and the commercials! Really, we need to stop joking about this excellent product.
You notice that they never actually say in the commerical that HEAD ON will relieve a headache or anything else. In their original commercial they made the claim that HEAD ON relieved headaches and were sued by the governmental agency that regulates such claims because there is absolutely no evidence that HEAD ON will relieve a headache. That is why they only tell you to apply it directly to the forehead (several times) and nothing else. They are hoping that people seeing the commerical will assume that it relieves a headache...

But ... as someone who has horrible ocular migraines (daily), sometimes I need something that will relax the muscles in my forehead. "Head on" is as effective as, say, putting on a heat pack or rubbing "Ben Gay" (which always seems tempting, but I just never have any handy). I'm not claiming it's a miracle product, but it helps a little bit and doesn't hurt.
I've never tried Ben Gay but I do use Icy Hot for my migraines, it usually helps some. I agree with you that Head On is most likely the same as doing that or Ben Gay. If you try Icy Hot just be sure and wash your hands well after, it doesn't feel so good if you get any in your eyes (trust me).
If I may offer a suggestion for those who suffer from headaches, I have found one easy way to get relief fast. I get a bowl of ice water and hold my hands in it for as long as I can stand it. I read this online years ago and it works for me every single time. The theory behind it is that your blood rushes to your hands to warm them up, thus relieving some of the pressure in your head.
