just looking for some opinions and info about the contraceptive pill? would it help regulate periods? (been irregular for a long while) doing some research myself, and planning to see my doctor soon, just thought I'd ask, thanks in advance.
Most women who use birth control pills have very short, light, painless periods. It is even possible to use dosing schedules that allow you to have only four periods per year or even none at all. You must be willing to take a pill every single day for this to work reliably though.
You and your doctor will need to go over your personal history and review the risks associated with hormonal contraception.
One caveat is that you should not smoke if you use hormonal contraception.
