Hi there
I had a mammo two weeks ago, then a few days later they called me back to do a ultrasound of the breast.

Well turns out that in the left breast there is a septated cystic structure. So now I need to go to a Breast surgeon.

Of course I am scared but wondering if this is a huge deal, or something that we can live with.

Dh has already had cancer 10 years ago so we have dealt with that.

Any ideas? I have approx 6 weeks to wait for my appt.

thanks
d

I know how worrisome this must be... BUT if they thought you there was any chance of this being dangerous, they would have gotten you to see a breast surgeon asap. I have had two surgical biopsies done and each time I saw a surgeon in just a couple of days.
Try not to be too worried. Best of luck to you and let us know how you do!
Take good care

You made no mention of your age categroy, but- are you a big caffeine drinker? People who drink a lot of soda, coffee and teas are more prone to a fibrocystic disease, somehing benign.

Good luck to you
