One of my knees feels like something is stabbing it sometimes, especially when I put pressure on it.
It's not a joint. It feels like it's in the fleshy part in the front knee. It feels swollen some.
Has this happened to anybody?
I don't want to see a doctor unless it gets worse.
Any thoughts on this?
Is it the tendon or muscle under the knee cap? I'd try taking advil 3x day for a few days and see if that helps. It could just be inflamed. If so, the advil should help. That's probably what the doc would tell you, anyway. Then if you do go in, you could say you've already tried that!!
Ice the area and elevate. Take an anti-inflammatory. Please provide more info. I have had two surgeries on my right knee for torn meniscus plus other issues - let me know if I can be of help.
Take an anti-inflammatory and elevate as much as possible. You may have an inflammation of the tissue around the joint ( I have synovitis in the ankle which is something like that). If it persists after a few days do go to your Doctor. An MRI might establish whether it is tissue damage. Best of luck.
Thanks to all of you that replied.
I hope it goes away in a few days and if it doesn't, I'll have the doctor check it out.
In the meantime, I'll follow you alls advice.
It feels inflamed and I can't put any pressure on it.
I'm not really sure what bursitis is but what is DMSO?
