Among people who use wheelchairs, what terms do they use for other people who use wheelchairs?
I don't mean insulting terms.
I saw "Murderball" which is a great film but it may not have mentioned this.
This should give you an indication of my late husband's sense of humor. When he first became disabled and confined to a wheelchair, he insisted he was not handicapped. He said, "My hands work fine! What I am is leggicapped!"
We have terms that we use; althougth we usually call those NOT in a chair "bi-peds". It can also depend upon region, Country and ages.
