I hurt my foot 2 months ago & it's been slow healing. 2 weeks ago my doctor pulled some dead skin off the bottom of my foot during my checkup (I think it was from when I had a cast on). Right on my forefoot (where the majority of the injury was) he took a bit more skin & it caused a cut. He cleaned it & put a band aide on it without saying anything. A few days later it caused a painful blister. I went back a few days after that & had him drain it. He took the top skin off too so it was basically like a hole. I soaked it 2x a day & kept bacitracin on it, covered it when I had to walk etc. The skin on top eventually closed up, and a day or 2 later it filled with fluid again. So I drained it myself on Friday. Yesterday morning it was looking pretty good, almost completely flat, then boom it fills again. It's not infected (liquid is clear, no redness). I have a follow up appointment on Saturday. Should I keep draining it for the relief, or just leave it alone until then? I have these donut pads so i don't put weight on it.
