Four days with no improvement? That stinks. Hope things get better before your trip.
The first time my oldest got it at around 2.5, I asked her pediatrician at the time (who was a friend of mine) for a prescription for several bottles of refills, which are pricey, but we sucked it up and bought a few to always keep on hand. On the couple of occasions where of the kids has gotten it, everyone in the house gets drops for a few days as prophylaxis, and we have always been able to contain it to that one person.
