Okay, one night I had a dream that my husband died. It was emotionally devastating, this dream. In the dream, I heard my Mom's voice say the same words, three times, "If you love someone, they'll never die," "If you love someone, they'll never die...."

I'd never before had a dream with my mother's voice in it. So real was the dream that I woke up sobbing, and had to shake awake my husband to make sure he was still alive. He comforted me and told it was just a dream.

The next morning, I received a phone call from Florida from my Mom's neighbor saying mom had died in her sleep. As close as the coroner could ascertain, the time of her death was at the time I was having the dream and hearing her voice as we were three hours earlier in California than East coast time. I figure not only did my mother let me know when she died, but knew how to comfort me and told me how to mourn her...

The other co-incidence that happened was after my brothers and I had picked up Mom's ashes and were having lunch at a seafood restaurant in Florida, with Mom's ashes sitting on the table with us (and one brother said to the waitress, "Can you bring Mom some water, she's feeling a little dry .."--yes, we have a weird sense of humor in my family, is that the Muzak came on with the theme song from Valley of the Dolls by Dionne Warwick, which was one of my Mom's favorite songs...part of the lyrics go, "Is this a dream? If this is a dream, where are you? Got to get on, got to get on with my ride..." I, unable to cry up until then, broke down into sobs...

Three months later, when my husband and were eating lunch 3000 miles in way in California, the same song came over that restaurant's Muzak. That was the second time I heard the song in years and years. I came home to find a message on my answering machine that my Dad, who was in a nursing home, had just died unexpectedly....

I've never had this sort of thing happen before, and it's kind of hard to explain except I now believe there are things beyond our four senses that happen when they need to...
