I have had a headache for 2 days now. Pain medicine does not help much, it is a very intense headache and also includes a throbbing sensation in my throat and radiates to my ears. I promise this is my last weird health posting, I think I have covered all my issues - LOL
Anyways, I wonder if it has anything to do with my low thyroid which I admit sounds weird but I am grasping at strings here. It makes it very difficult to concentrate and I feel like I need to clear my throat constantly.
So what do you think?

Do you smoke?

Have you paid a visit to an ENT physician?

If not, I would recommend that course, at least in regard to your throat issue.

Default Immediate Attention

Go to doctor to make sure you are not having complications from a possible aneurysm. Had a girlfriend who walked around for weeks thinking she was having a sinus headache. She drove to emergency on a Saturday and decided upon her arrival that she would wait to see what happens. Three days later she died.

Hi,

It could be more of a sinusitis (or an acute sinusitis). Maybe you could try treating the sinus symptoms and this will alleviate the pain.

It *could* be something like a basilar migraine, but difficult to know.

There are some more serious things it could be, but if you don't have a fever, I think you are OK.

I'd put this in the category of "see your doctor as soon as you can" but not "see your doctor today" unless this is, like, the worst pain you've ever experienced, or you have a fever, or a high fever, and/or vision problems.

I can't think of any connection with your thyroid, but it's a good question to ask your doctor. You never know!

Well I went to the Dr. today and found out what this annoying pain/discomfort is. It is my thyroid being swollen which I guess is some what common with people that have thyroid problems.

Thanks to all the responded to this post

Yes I am, the doctor thinks I will probably end up needing a higher dose within the next few years. She says that the swelling of my thyroid is just my body attacking it, it is so strange what you body does to itself

Just for fun and giggles, why don't you ask for a referral to an ENT specialist?
