I'm a B with some A tendencies. I'm very time-conscious when I'm out because I almost always on someone else's time.

Oh, I have been an A since somewhere in junior high school. I thrive under deadlines, push elevator buttons until the blasted door opens, and generally fly around at the speed of light.

My husband is a confirmed B. If he gets any more relaxed I will have to poke him with a stick to make sure he is still alive.

We balance each other very well.

In a room full of A's, I'm more of a B. But in a room full of B's,
I'm definitely an A. Make sense?

I'm both an A and a B. Sometimes I'm more of an A and sometimes I'm more of a B, but I'm always punctual and like to take charge. I just like to relax while I'm taking charge!

Therefore, I will fight you other A's for control of the room, but I'll be relaxed about it.

Default With or without meds?

I was the classic type A personality until 2002 when I saw the light, read that as "crashed and burned". I had spent over 25 years in the household goods moving and storage business, including 12 years as a 48 state owner-operator leased to United Van Lines. When I came off of the road, I went into sales and management, that was my real downfall. My life and my job became morphed into one existence. These was no distinction between my personal life and my job, they were one in the same. I was a type A personality to the absolute max.

In 2002, after several failed attempts, I finally broke the chains of my self-imposed prison and quite the moving and storage business. It was the toughest 3 years of my life. I experienced several hundred hours of psychotherapy and adjunct medication therapy. I now go to counseling once per month just for a "tune up", and I'll need to maintain psych meds for the rest of my life, but the alternative would have been stroke and/or heart attack and death. So, I'll take my type B personality with meds over my type A personality without meds that nearly cost me an early death.
