I am going absolutely INSANE with my ears still plugged up after a cold, for 2 weeks!!!

It happened when i blew my nose, and now my ears are screwed up. It'll randomly pop sometimes, which startles the **** out of me, but the pressure is still there. Sometimes it seems like it's getting better, but then it starts up all over again.

I went to the doctor, he checked my ears, and i don't have an infection. Instead, eustachian tubes dysfunction.

I've been taking Sudafed and now Mucinex, and the doctor prescribed steroid nose spray. And I'm chewing gum 24/7 and sleeping upright even though its killing my neck.

Is there anything else to try? I'm absolutely fed up...it's impeding my productivity, especially since I've had to work from home (the train I usually take to work badly exacerbates the problem).

I'm actually getting depressed, because it's not getting any better, and I'm really starting to worry that it never will.

One thing is for sure: I will NEVER blow my nose again. ever.

I used to get that with chronic bronchitis. Keep taking the Mucinex. Make sure it is the D formula. If you aren't taking the max dose, you might want to do that for a day or two. You need to blow your nose though; one side at a time plugging the other side as you blow. That nose spray usually makes it easier for me to blow about 30 mins after use.
