I'm still in shock...49? Mother of 2 boys...suddenly collapses?
Then the Good Morn America doctor says her mom died that way
at 63, in 2004.

I know of 2 others...all women...seems to be a female thing!

They say there is really nothing much we can do...stop smoking, control any high blood pressure...
I feel like I want to get all my things in order...in case I'm gone tomorrow!!
I'm still kind of in shock.

I feel more of a kinship with you guys than over in Current Affairs...this could get moved.

Take care of your affairs! Gee!

I had an employee fall face first on her keyboard, dead. Mid 30s. No warning signs. Aneurysm burst. At least it is sudden and painless.

^Same happened to my cousin while he was out having dinner with a friend - collapsed mid sentence, died @ 31.. . . . . . Now, this other lady I know (late 40's) recently had one, was rushed to the hospital, had emergency brain surgery, and survived. Your chances of survival often have alot to do with how people around you react,, timing is really crucial.

I think 2/3's occur in women and smoking is also a huge risk factor so don't do it!

I heard a sign of aneuryism is people who feel dizzy and have headaches often, people that have migrain headaches regularly could be a sign of an aneuryism.

it's true aneuryisms are more common for women, usually around age 48 and up

Life is fickle, you never know when you are going to go.

Someone 60 could live another 45 years........someone 19 could step in front of a truck, and that's it.

This happened to my mom’s coworkers son and to one of her coworkers as well.

When her coworker had it he just said he had a headache and 5 minutes later he passed out. They called the ambulance and he made it to the hospital but was declared brain dead and taken off the machines. It actually traumatized the coworkers who were with him when he passed out.

My female cousin died of one at age 28. It was a brain aneurysm.

My Dad had an aortic aneurysm that they found by accident during a stomach ultrasound (I think) and they were able to remove it, but they told him to get to the hospital immediately if he had any pain in that area because there's a window of like 30 min. or less to be in the OR.

My ex's father and brothers had them and he had to get tested every so often starting after age 40 because in his family's case, it was hereditary.
