For me personally, the oil cleansing method worked wonders. It really calmed my skin down, and I don't have any of the problems anymore that I used to struggle with daily: excessive oil, redness, irritation, sensitivity, blemishes, etc...
When was the last time you saw a dermatologist? Your skin changes as you age so the way you take care of it changes as well.
Just how greasy is your hair? You said you only wash it once a week and I wonder if that contributes to your issue. If your hair is long and greasy it will contribute to break outs.
Maybe when you go see the doctor about your open underarm wound, you can ask him about your oily skin.
I read how others say that oil cleansing meathod really wrecked havoc on their skin, so everyone of course needs to try it & see how it works for them.
Kim in FL, yes whenever I go to the dr, I definitely plan on telling her about a couple issues (more important issues first of course & oily skin isn't really the priority, but I wouldn't mind getting another dermatology referral since I haven't seen one in a long time).
