I kept my mouth shut as Im not her mother. She have had heart surgery due to a murmur and defective heart valve as a young child. I know she takes meds before dental procedures.
I asked if she tooks any meds before getting a tattoo and her response was no. What's your experience with people getting tattoos who have heart conditions?
Are you saying she takes blood thinners? If so, that probably wasn't the smartest thing then. I could never take blood thinners. I get cut or sliced at work almost daily. I usually don't bleed long. Just be careful.
A really good friend of mine has had open heart surgery twice and he received a tattoo a few years back. He took every precaution he could, but he told me he wasn't going to let his condition hold him back from living his life.
All you can do is make sure your friend is being as safe as possible. The more you tell her she shouldn't do it, the more she's going to want to.
Seriously? There are people who would risk their lives to get a tat?
I mean, guys, let's get real. It's not a statement of philosophy or religious faith. It's not a political belief. It's a stupid little piece of art that's permanently inked into one's skin, one that typically starts looking like a skin disease a few years down the road. It's a leisure suit that one can't ever take off.
And yet there are folks who would risk their lives to have one?
I'm not seeing how a tattoo will have any impact on her heart condition.
