I had my last one about 6 or 7 years ago so a colonoscopy isn't anything new to me. But I don't like them and am wondering if a CT Scan or something like that would be just as reliable in detecting what a colonoscopy does.

Well, I've never met anybody who likes them! They do those "virtual colonoscopies" with CT, but you get a appreciable dose of radiation, and they can't biopsy anything they see, like a polyp...so that means a standard colonoscopy after that.

I had good tasting prep for mine earlier this year. If the stuff hadnt kept me on the run so much the whole experience wouldve been fine.

I just had one two days ago and I fail to see why a grown up would avoid it. Sure, the prep is a pain, but the actual procedure is like a trip to a spa. Quit being a baby.
