Pellucid marginal degeneration? (doctor, lenses, eye, treatment)

Hi,
Recently, I underwent an eye examination and diagnosed pellucid marginal degeneration. I don’t know anything about this disease. My doctor in Evergreen eye clinic, Auburn had suggested me a corneal cross-linking. Does anyone have experience with this disease and treatment method? Please share your experience. Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Thank you for the link. But I need some real experiences and treatment methods. What are the precautions to be taken for this disease? I'm really scared of losing my eyesight

Agree with getting a 2nd opinion. Just from reading articles on-line it seems that some people can be helped with specific types of contact lenses. There are several surgical treatments if contacts don't help.

Did your doc discuss different treatments & tell you why he chose that one?

You want to see a doc that has treated this condition often & has lots of experience with it.
