A long, long time ago now, I was told to program an ICE number (In Case of Emergency) number in my cell phone, and I did. Depending on where I am, and who is traveling, I update my ICE number so that it's likely to reach someone who will be home and able to help out, if anything happens to me.
Do first responders actually check for an ICE number? Does anyone? If not, what are the numbers on an accident victim's phone that they are most likely to try first - most recently dialed? Something called "Home"? Or what?
Thank you. (I wasn't sure where to start this thread, but Health was my best guess for now.)
I put "hubby" next to my husband's name..."daughter" next to my daughters, etc....so that if anyone DOES need to call someone on my behalf, they'll at least know who the folks in my contact list are!!!

I have ICE on my phone, but after reading this, I just edited my contact list to add "husband", "father" and "in laws" next to their respective names. Thanks for the good idea
I have an ICE on my phone as they can't check any other numbers without the pass-code thingy but the ICE number can be shown without it. Although it doesn't really matter with the system over here because all they do need to do is look at my social security card (always carry it with me) and enter my number into the system and they'll get my emergency contact person details - gotta love that digital database.
