I just found out my brother had an episode with all the classic symptoms. He was working in his yard (one of the possible causes is exertion), and the next thing he knew, he could not remember A THING that had happened in the past 8 hours. He found out later that he had called his work 11 times to make sure he was not supposed to be at work (another classic symptom). Chances are if you have one, you will never have it happen again.
During an episode, a person remembers who he is, where he lives, and remembers family members. He was taken to the hospital and checked out for stroke, TIA, or other possible causes, but he checked out fine.
I had not heard of this before, and wonder how common it is?
