Nighttime Back Pain Getting Worse!
I am 22 year old female and been having back pain for a bout 2 years now. I haven't had any accident at all.

But I have had 2 c sections one in 2010 and one in 2012. The pain started about two years ago.

The last 3 months my lower back pain has been getting worse by night. I have the pain as soon as it's time for bed. I am virtually pain free by day. I feel the pain on my upper right back and it's worse on my lower back ( right side)

I don't know how much of this I can take anymore. I have gone to an orthopedic clinic but that was some time ago and the doctor said it could be osteoporosis. I never followed up after that appointment. ( I was very busy and always put myself last)

The pain is now where I can't sleep. I will try sleeping around 9 pm and won't actually fall asleep until 2 or 3 in the morning. And then I won't get much sleep anyway because the pain will wake me up.

I made an appointment to go back to the same doctor on Tuesday.

Just recently I've been getting some tingly sensation on my right leg and hand ( I felt most of it in my middle finger)

The only scan I've had is an X Ray which was when the Doctor said it may be Osteoporosis. I definitely want to have an MRI done.

I want some advice on how to fix this problem or what can be causing me to have this much pain. I want to be able to sleep again.

Is anyone going through something similar.

You most likely have ruptured discs in your lumbar spine. I don't know what to tell you. I am 61 and have had 4 ruptured discs but it didn't start until I was 39. I have had three surgeries and am mostly pain free now.

You are 22 and have had 2 c-sections?

If you don't follow-up with your doctors I'm not sure how you will feel better.

It doesn't sound like ruptured discs to me--if it was that, I'd think that the pain would be constant, day and night.

I don't know what would cause pain that only flares up at night. Definitely follow up with the doctor, if you've had this problem for this long.

It could be pain from needing to replace your mattress, or it could be from the anesthesia from your c-sections. I used to get some pretty bad back pains after my c-sections...I guess my body healed itself over time, because I haven't had that same pain in a long time.

It could be any number of things. You might want to discuss with your doctor about a cat- scan or an MRI. Those should show what is wrong.

Time to go to your doctor and take the help from them not from a forum.

What are you doing before bed? If you sit on the couch, maybe you need a new one. Or you may need a new bed.

have you tried a new mattress? I have psoriatic arthritic in my back and legs and buying a new mattress made a huge difference.
