remember hearing a story about a footballer who dropped a can of links on his foot and ruled him out for several weeks so just wondering what are the strangest/funniest ways you have been injured

for me it has to be either getting stabbed with a pencil in high school causing a blood stain to my shirt or when i rtried to walk under a big road sign and i hit my head and caused a cut to my head

Trying to kick a dog bed out of my way while holding a bowl of soup. Splashed soup everywhere and I did a perfect pratfall, injuring my pride and my back.

As a child: some butthole (I suspect one of my brothers) put a concrete block in a paper bag and left it in the yard. I was barefoot and went to kick the bag and broke all of my toes. Another time I had blown up a paper bag to pop not knowing there was a toothpick in it. I popped it and the toothpick went through base of my thumb resulting in nerve damage.

As an adult: I was making guacamole and tried to stab the pit with a knife and missed stabbing the palm of my hand all the way through to the other side.

I fainted once and landed on my arm somehow, and got a hairline fracture. That was embarrassing, explaining that to people.

Last April, I tripped over a loose carpet in an airport and fell. Knocked unconscious for 45 minutes (landed head first on granite floor), dislocated my hip and broke a rib. Major conclusion and 6 weeks recovery. Oh, and it also partially detached my retina. Never, ever underestimate a fall.

Good lord... I consider myself lucky, then. The time that I fainted, apparently some guy standing nearby tried to catch me, and that partially kept me from hitting the ground too hard. It did occur to me afterward that I was lucky I didn't hit my head on the ground.... Glad that you recovered from all that!

Walked from my couch to the kitchen (my old apartment), about.. 2 feet. I gave a habit of never walking barefoot in the house but I didn't have shoes on cause it literally two feet away . Somehow banged my toe so hard against the door way that I broke my toe....

I was renting an apartment and had made a nice garden alongside the house. One day the landlady's son decided to "help" me out.

He put up a (2 ft?) wire fence to fence in the garden. So I climbed over the little fence to pick some flowers and, getting out, I wasn't used to the new fence.

With a bunch of flowers in one hand, I tried to straddle the new fence and started to sway--the choices were: (1) fall to the left and hit a pointy shrub against the house or (2) fall to right right, onto the lawn. I chose lawn.

I lay there on my back and couldn't move. When I came to, it turned out I had dislocated my shoulder. But I had my flowers!

OK, here it goes.

One day I lost my keys...No problem with car, such a beater it started without a key...

Got home, pulled screen off. Climbed in window, stepped off ledge and fell into living room and broke arm off love seat (Wood) putting a slight? gash on arm. I then went to bed room, tripped over roommates 3 year old's toy train smacking head into edge of doorway.

Trying to relax, having coffee, go to pull out carafe and filter section comes off also and splashes 180 degree coffee on hand (Skin later peeled off).....Yeah, ONE frigging day...ONE
