Very interesting and makes sense to me since strengthening those core muscles would in theory decompress the spine and lift up. I'm taller in a corset for example.

The 4 theories I have why it may have happened to him:

- Loss of weight thus less pressure on spine
- Stress and clenching muscles which essentially may do the same as pilates
- Time of day. We're taller when we just wake up due to decompression laying down.
- Inaccurate measurement. He's tall; more room for error. (I'm comparably short and my height measurement usually fluctuates between an inch or so)

Sweet... I need to try some of these! I always joke about how I want a stretching machine! LOL... I'm just over 5'0!

Could be different shoes, different measuring stick? Different doctor? Taller hair? Standing straighter? I doubt anyone will ever really know.

Never attribute to greatness what can be explained by desperation. Obama spent so much time giving speeches, talking down to reporters, looking down at the audience, being dismayed by their attitudes, he had to grow taller in a desperate attempt to get farther away from them.

I guess all the crap he's full of is expanding him... My thoughts of him exploding actually puts a smile on my face in anticipation... is THAT possible? One can wish...

I just wanted to add that I was measured at TWO different doctors, a year apart, once in a.m. once in afternoon and the measurement was the same. I definitely gained height, so it is possible. It may not be possible for everyone, I did (and still do) have some compression in my spine, and always do all I can to keep stretched and lengthened.

How did you gain height when the measurements were the same?
