Hi All,

I was healthy and doing workouts everyday. sometimes, I see boils come and go on its own on my buttocks, thighs etc. Three weeks back I got a boil on upper thigh like very small pimple with pus in it. To remove pus, I poked it. It became gradually big to inch size. Doctor prescribed me Augmentin 10 days with 2 tablets per day. within 4 days, boil dried and completely recovered on upper thigh. I completed 10 days medicine yesterday.

I have observed something during antibotics, a small pimple like boil used to appear and go on its own. I say new boils on lower leg, fore hands, back (behind stomach) and they all gone on its own. today I saw new boil on my head. I am little worried about them.

Just to let you know, I will be very hygienic changes my underwear as soon as come from work. Always be on short, cotton shirts at home. Not sure why I am getting. Anybody has any idea.

Kindly suggest something on this

Boils are a staph infection....you probably picked it up somewhere...go to a doctor and get antibiotics! You can harbor the germ...you need to eliminate it! Go to a doctor..it's a serious thing!

You can try washing with Hibiclens. That works well for many people.

See a dermatologist - with that number of boils you may have hidradenitis suppurativa.
