I'm not complaining of course but everyone around me at work is or was sick. Strep, bronchitis, bad colds and I haven't gotten anything. Besides a slight head cold once a year if that....I haven't been bed ridden sick in 5 years. I haven't really changed anything....I've always exercised at least 30 minutes a day and use a lot of hand sanitizer but I don't particularly eat healthy or remember to take vitamins. I used to get the horrible sore throats and fevers....the nasty green and brown stuff that comes you blow out of your nose or cough up in my 20's and 30's now in my early 40's it seems I don't.

Do you get a flu shot each year? That can build immunity over time.

And did you smoke in your youth but have since quit? That also helps.

It may just depend on your office location and what you have to touch that other people touched. I worked in one office that had a badge entry system and no sinks within the secured areas with the pulls on the side with the sinks, so if someone came in with dirty hands, you still had to yank that door open to get in. Needless to say the result of that was that most people were sick on a regular basis. I got norovirus and a few respiratory ailments and only worked there 11 months.

I worked in the adjacent building on the top floor where it seemed like all the environmental allergens/toxins like dust and smoke were piped into certain top-floor offices/rooms and caused people in those offices to get lots of respiratory ailments. I think I worked there around 4-5 years ago and they were apparently just doing something about it last year because the problem had gotten so bad.

My current office has mold, although I don't really get sick all that often because I have an air purifier in there. Before that I would go home a lot.
