old is that year when your face just transforms. it comes out of nowhere, and when it does, nobody will say how young you still look. nobody will say how nice your skin is.

with that said, it's relative and different for all individuals. truth be told, certain races age faster, and by perception of age, people talk differently towards you. i could be the same exact person, but if i ceveloped deep wrinkles, people would treat me like an older person. and that then loops, and you think you're old and you begin to accept it. that's when you're old.

I feel the opposite. I feel like people tend to compliment old people more. It's not like you go up to 90 year olds and say "Wow, you look old and ugly".

i never said old people get called ugly, i said when you look old, people will act upon you as an older person, and that's usually with a degree more tolerance, respect, and hospitality because they think you're OLD. my point is when that happens, you believe more and more that you are old, when you in actuality hadn't really changed in the way you think. when people continue to perceive you as old by your looks, it loops and reinforces in your brain, that's when you TURN OLD.

oftentimes, self perception is a projection of OTHERS PERCEIVING YOU.

this has also been linked to other scenarios, like race.. people of certain races that are not perceived as highly motivated successful people, actually convince themselves that they aren't when the objective reality is the opposite.
