Definitely see a urologist, as others have mentioned. And drink real cranberry juice and also water.

Also, don't take baths (and certainly not bubble baths!) - take showers instead.

Do you have skin sensitivities otherwise?

I think it's more intercourse related. My doctor told me the best thing that I could do for myself was make sure that I was drinking a crap load of water after being active. My mother is also susceptible to them. Thanks!

If your doctor thinks they are related to intercourse, you also need to force yourself to use the bathroom after sex.

Are you using lube? Someone posted a link above about lube, so I thought I'd mention that you can develop a sensitivity to lubricants which can feel like burning sensations or dozens of little paper cuts and feels worse when you urinate. It doesn't lead to UTI but it can definitely mimic some of the symptoms.

Worked with a man whose wife had UTI's quite often until she tried a remedy a friend said worked for them. Every night before bed she would drink one bottle of beer. She said she had been drinking that beer for 4 or 5 years now and hasn't had any more trouble. She never was much of a drinker but said she can handle a beer if it helps with this.

Try taking D-Mannose to prevent them. It works well for me. It's at the health food store and makes the bladder lining inhospitable to germs so they can't hold on and multiply. Natural stuff.

Always try and have a pee after having intercourse.
Also, the cranberry juice (organic, not loaded with sugar) will prove a BIG help.
Also cut out refined sugars...even just for a couple of days and you'll notice a diff.....good luck.
