I took part in a 10K (6 miles) marathon the other day and the following day, my ankle/foot started hurting. I can't actually pin point whether it's my ankle or foot. It only hurts when I walk. Sadly, I wasn't wearing the right pair of shoes for this run which led to this injury.
How should I deal with it efficiently? I don't want to go to the GP just for this, because it's not some kind of excruciating pain.
Rest it, ice it, wrap it, use some topicals and hopefully stop running. Or less miles and better shoes...I know when one is young, the will to go go go is there and I was there years ago...now I'm happy to be able to walk.

Consider an ankle support, artificial joint parts are NOT a walk in the park. Take care of your body.
