Sour cherry juice (pure, organic) - 2 shots per day (you can mix in with water and sugar/sweetener if you want to make a drink)
Mangosteen juice - PURE 100% - not the kind that comes mixed with things to make it taste good! 2 shots per day
(this does not taste great but you take it as a shot... it works for severe knee OA, it did for me when i worked on my feet all day, i would have never made it to work... takes a week or so to feel it in my experience)
My medical doctor recommended these... if it's not allowed here feel free to delete.
A prescription anti-inflammatory, like meloxicam 15mg. Generic and very inexpensive--$10. for 90 pills, Wal-Mart. A nice choice because it's only 1 pill per day to take.
have no idea but hubby doctor did tell him, there is no scientific proof that Glucosamine is helpful. He said, if it makes you feel better it won't hurt.

I think supplements like Glucosamine sometimes work only because the person taking them thinks they'll work. I adopt only older large dogs, all of whom have had arthritis when adopted. I always try Glucosamine and Chondroitin on them (because it's cheaper than prescription pain meds) and it never works. To me, that's evidence that it doesnt matter what the person/animal believes -- those supplements just dont work. Of course, if they seem to work because the person taking them expects them to work, then -- as you said -- no problem.
I often think to go off glucosamine sulfate and then buy it again. My friend who will be 95 swears that taking this GS for 25 yrs keeps her walking...no joint replacements for this lady. So who knows.
I muscle test and pendulum dowse positive for this supplement for my joints.
So so often OA is so advanced, good to get it in it's early years. My knee has been an issue for over 20 yrs and I did not take GS in those early years.

This is very true, there have been plenty of studies looking at glucosamine and chondroitin, no real evidence that they do anything more than placebo. No harm in it either but people shouldn't expect miracles, anyone that tells you they are "rebuilding" cartilage with this supplement has no facts to support this claim...
Is there something wrong with your knee joints? Arthritis, pulled tendon....?

Yes, I had my right knee scooped 12 yrs ago (due to torn tendon) and it's starting to annoy me along with small annoyances in my left knee and both wrist from time to time. I blame old age for most :-)
I was just wondering if I'm doing the best job, that's all.
Ever had a cortizone shot? Really relieves inflamation very well.
I also recommend Omega 3 oils, take a tablespoon or two every day for a couple of weeks...like butter for those joints
