Man, last night I had the most random stomach ache. I had some ham and some potatoes for dinner. I was in the bathroom for 3 hours waiting to puke but it didn't happen.

I don't see how ham and some potatoes could cause a stomach ache.

Its the weirdest thing, not like I had a ton of junk food that day. What do you think possibly caused it? I think its the ham, but its well cooked. After my mom had some ham and got a little sick too.

It could have been the ham...even if it was well cooked, it could have been bad before cooking.

Bottom line, ANYTHING can cause a stomach ache. If you are feeling better today I wouldn't worry about it. And throw away any leftovers you may have.

Food poisoning, that is what it sounds like. I wonder how though.......you are SURE everything was fully cooked and then promptly eaten (not sitting around before eating.)????????

For future reference (not medical advice), Bismuth Subsalicylate works wonders to treat food poisoning.

Used to be considered one of the wonder-drugs.......saved lives and treated sickness.

If you got something bad, you have to hit a pretty strong loading-dose. Just like aspirin....if you got a bad headache and take 325mg, yeah, that probably won't do much, if anything to help

When my stomach feels "off" and it doesn't happen often as I take digestive enzymes and probiotics daily but when I feel off, baking soda in water does it for me.

Could have been the ham, I've never had issues from eating ham. All meats are acidic. If you really want to get into it, all WHITE foods and meats are acidic. More acid in the stomach. The more colorful the foods (veggies) the more alkaline. We need to get a balance of stomach acids and being alkaline.
