This is what ear, nose and throat doc said;

I've had my hearing checked, right ear is normal, left is border line to needing help.

BUT at times when I yawn the left ear clears up and hearing is very much improved.

Any ideas for this senior ??

You have a plugged or partially plugged eustachian tube. Did your doctor mention that? She may not have noticed; it would be useful for her to know.

Taking decongestants for a couple of days might help but you should ask your doctor if they think it will help and get the correct dosage.
