when I go to health sites for medical advice or general information I often run into what web pages that are established for the purpose of advertising. Besides City-Data is there a reliable site that one can depend on for good information about health and medical information?

I do a Google search term for what I want and then put a space and type:
-com
at the end, which screens out a lot of commercial sites and junk. I mostly look for sites that end in edu (university sites) or gov (the FedGov) and I use medical terminology if possible, like "dermis" instead of skin or "fractured femur" instead of broken leg.
Both the Mayo Clinic and WebMD discuss alternative treatments fairly.
