I'm wondering if anybody else is ever had this. I have always had an issue if I drink to much I have a terrible hangover of vomiting etc. It seems recently that if I drink more than one glass of wine I get super drunk, black out drank acutally and I'm really sick the next day. Last week I ended up in the hospital with IV liquids and Zofran......I'm kind of afraid to drink at all anymore. Am I alone with this issue???
You're losing your ability to process the stuff for some reason. I have seen this in people who drank a lot (not accusing you of having an alcohol problem ) Real partiers. Never seemed to be affected by it either. Then after so many years their ceiling for drinking got lower and lower. They ended up with diabetes as stated earlier, or liver and stomach problems. You don't have to be an alcoholic to have that stuff do a number on your system.
If this has just started with you, heed the warning. Get a check up.

You are certainly not alone with this issue, but that is rather irrelevant. You need to be medically evaluated to see if your liver has been damaged. Not drinking at all anymore would actually be a good solution in the meantime.

I'm certainly concerned and know I don't have to be an alcoholic to have this hurt me. A little background my husband was a chronic very bad alcoholic and in fact lost his life to alcoholism in 2014 so I'm very sensitive to if I'm drinking to much. I have always been affected by alcohol getting very very sick if I ever drank to much, but, this seems to have intensified so I'm going into super caustious mode.
My brother recently developed an allergic reaction to drinking. Even a sip and he gets a rash/bump on his arm that looks like a bug bite for the next 8-12 hours.

Given your background, why are you drinking at all? Listen to your body. Get a medical opinion to see what's going on.
Again, I'll state the obvious: you won't have further problems if you stop drinking. Stop ingesting alcohol. If you're unable to stop drinking, you might have a problem. No need to monitor the amount you drink, simply stop drinking.
Some people just cannot tolerate any alchol, it has nothing to do with diabetes. I am a type 2, and drink two glasses of wine daily with no issues.
My mother (also my mother-in-law) could not drink at all without becoming violently ill. Both had gall bladder issues. As stated, liver issues can also be responsible. Avoid alcohol and get a medical diagnosis.
