My husband is 75. Last night we went to a restaurant and his left hand was mostly open and being held above the table while he talked. I noticed his fingers were moving so slightly I doubt most people would have noticed. I told him about it and he didn't say anything . I held out my fingers like his and there was absolutely no movement whatsoever.
Is this the beginning of Parkinson's Disease ? Could it have been something else? He was not nervous.

I agree, essential tremor is most likely. Overview - Essential tremor - Mayo Clinic

But you know what? After drinking coffee for years, I quit, because no matter what time of day I drank it, it made it harder for me to get to sleep.

And suddenly, I had steadier hands, even though I really never had a noticeable tremor.

Benign essential tremor is most likely. I take an old seizure med for it and it went away./ SO long as I remember to take it! But see a neurologist for a diagnosis.

I thank each one of you. I had thought about essential tremor but my BFF has it at 73 and her head shakes very slightly - but MUCH more than my husband's fingers . I noticed her head shaking in 1985!
My husband is addicted to diet soda. He has never had wine, beer or a glass of water but that huge mug of diet soda is always by his chair. I buy those really big bottles five at a time. Makes me feel guilty.
