I'm glad to hear that. I've been thinking of getting a foam mattress for the first time.
I can't pay even 1/10 of what you paid, though!
I wish they still made flocked, flippable mattresses like the ones I grew up on (literally ).
I bet if you look around, there will be some decent foam mattresses for a lot less. Give foam a try, no hard, uncomfortable springs poking you through the mattress.
Flippable mattresses, yes, they're hard to find. I remember sleeping on a feather bed as a kid, when visiting my grandparents. Ahhh, nothing like that now.
We have a sleep number. After a few years the foam flattened and the sides had to be replaced. The sides are shot again since I am a side sleeper. At first the mattress seemed okay but after just a couple of years it became uncomfortable and the air baffles do not do what they claim, at least not for us. It's 10 years old now and we are in the market for a new mattress but we will not be getting another sleep number mattress. Hoping to find a foam or hybrid that is comfortable and doesn't cause one to sweat.
Looking again after barely 5 years and I did not buy the cheapest innerspring either. There should be a law against anyone posting about how great a mattress they have until 5 years ownership.
Take a look at Eve.com. When I need a new mattress (I don't need a new box spring) I'll probably get one, or one like it. There is no risk, because there is a 100 day guarantee.
