What's the latest consensus on running the air ionizer that comes with many air purifiers these days? They have so many features these days. They have the option of turning it off now. I heard it's okay to run the ionizer feature if no one is in the room? This is the one I may get:
I have never really liked the smell that an ionizer makes. I have also heard that ionization will make dust cling to walls rather than naturally settling on surfaces, but I don't know if that's true or not.
But, I bought mine as a refurbished unit off of eBay for about half the price. Works great, my only complaint is the light is a little too bright at night, but I just drape a cloth over it to block it.
I think I will only run the ionizer feature if no one is in the house. Otherwise, will run it without it. The main feature I like about the purifier is the carbon filter and it's ability to get rid of kitchen cooking odors.
Along that line, what do people think of Ozium spray? This thing works like a charm and gets rid of ANY odor. But websites state there is a lot of bad health issues. Is it okay to spray this in a room, and then give it an hour before going into the room again? Has great reviews on Amazon and everyone loves it

ionisers arent good for some people especially asthma sufferers and I hate the smell of them .. I have a charcoal pillow for the back of the car headrest, no smells and all natural, Im hoping it will help eliminate odours from our new car... as they make me ill... but if your looking for a good good purifier for the home invest in one with HEPA and no ionizers.. and look for one with benefits for what you need, be it pet dander, dust, cigarette smoke or chemicals... not all cater for chemicals but you will find some.. check reviews for each make.

Wouldnt go near sprays.. they can cause more harm than good... a HEPA air purifier is best. many on the market, check reviews .. on this site click on why you need one of the units and they will come up.. pricey though.. https://www.air-purifiers-america.co...cTYaArVk8P8HAQ
Ionizer go a long way towards making the air cleaner.
Some people are sensitive to ionizers.......a simple solution is to get an air-cleaner with an ionizer that can be switched on and off, only turn it on when you are out of the house.
