I had a laser hair removal treatment done in the bikini area (with alexandrite laser, I believe) at a hair removal salon (not by an MD). The treatment went well and took care of the hairs on the top of the bikini line, but the area that's deeper in started regrowing right away.
I was told by the salon to let the hairs grow out for a week or so and then do a touch up so that they can zap those hairs.

I had it done today and it hurt like &*ll (and I have a very high pain tolerance). Immediately after the procedure I was in a lot of pain. They gave me an ice pack and told me to keep in there for the rest of the day. after I came back home I was in so much pain I could barely walk. The area was red and there are at least 3 spots that look like raised bumps. I went back to the office, they looked at it and told me that "I would be fine". It's been over 2 hours after the procedure but as soon as I remove the ice it starts hurting like crazy again. My day is lost, and I'm scared and worried of the consequences. What should I do?? Should I go to the ER? What are my rights?

If you're worried go to the doctor.

A lesson to be learned: "Don't f**k with mother nature".

Why so many women go to such extreme measures to eliminate a perfectly natural body characteristic is beyond me.
