Having "normal" echocardiogram results does NOT preclude the need for statins in an individual predisposed to a cardiac event and with other risk factors including elevated cholesterol/LDL
So NO, having a normal echo result does not mean you would have been taking statins for nothing...
You clearly don't understand this whole "cardiology business"
But please do keep giving others advice here on what THEY should do even though you clearly don't understand what you are talking about
If someone has normal echo tests, normal blood pressure, low triglycerides, high HDL, normal weight, and a healthy lifestyle -- you still think they should take statins???!!! Just because an ignorant overweight medical doctor says they should?
Statins are HARMFUL. They are not medicine, they are a toxic artificial chemical. They should only be used when necessary, for patients with extremely high cholesterol because of a genetic disorder.

Are you a doctor? Even if you were that obviously does not make you an authority on anything. I suppose you DO know what you are talking about when talking about the "cardiology business" and I suppose your medical advice is correct? Just the fact that you put quotes around the words tells a lot.
By the way, I guess you also missed the disclaimer, if you read the sticky on the first page of this forum, you will see the following: "The Content is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition"
This site is opinion based and that is what people are offering and that is the reason for the disclaimer.

As for the disclaimer, just because YOU took the time to find it doesn't mean every one does and when others present themselves as authorities on subjects they clearly know nothing about and begin dispensing medical advice as the poster referenced has, then YES they deserve to be called out on it.
