I was reading on FOV (Floater-Only Vitrectomies) on various forums. Before anyone starts to say "Oh' they're just harmless, forget them", I've lived with these 'worms' for 5 years and has made what was my clear sight very unbearable. I may not be at risk of dying, but certainly my quality of life has been considerably degraded from cobwebs and stings floating through my vision.

I did see that a variety of ophthalmologists in the US and UK offered the surgery and was pleased. I was told it was between €5000,10,000. Now, I'm not complaining because I know the training required that doctors have to go through but from YouTube videos, it seems like a simple procedure.

Is this before or after insurance in most countries?

Well, I can't speak about the Whys of the costs of medical worlds. Except PROFITS are real and deep in the world. But I know that I take care of own health about 90% including eye health. Cataract surgery I've heard from others is simple and it's costly enough too.

I've had floaters for probably over 20 yrs and I'm headed to 79. I take eye supplements and BELIEVE these supplements take care of the floaters. They don't bother me and probably less today than years ago when they first came on.

I'll send you a DM on a couple protocols and you can do a search too.

Here is an informative link on Floaters and even costs etc of surgery you are talking about. I learned something here.
