I see my dr TODAY. Is Meclizine really the best med out there for dizziness OR should I ask for a new prescription for something else?
Any updates? Yes, meclizine is typically what is prescribed for dizziness along with PT.

Meclizine helped when I had some dizzies in my 30s. They havent come back, except for one scary but very brief bout with benign PV. I thought I had had a stroke because i couldn't sit up in bed, it was like a hand slammed me back down. I finally rolled out onto the floor, crawled to the phone and called a doctor friend. I did the Epley maneuver and have been fine ever since. It was all over within 20 minutes.

I appreciate you for asking! On day 7 of Meclizine (1 pill every night) & I think the dizziness might be getting better. In the meantime, I'm getting the ball rolling on getting a referral for an ENT to see what they can do on their end. I'll be having that Baer VBK test next week.

Oh no, I'm sorry. How long ago was this & how are you now?

Thanks for the info. I still haven't done the Epley maneuver. I'm kind of afraid to yet, but I'll be getting an ENT referral so I'll see what they say about that.

If you dont have BPPV, I'm not sure you have any reason to do it.
