I know that I have to stay away from tomatoes, spices, and deep fried foods. So just wondering what can I eat that will not flare up the arthritis? I thought Lemon pepper chicken breast was a good choice but I guess the pepper flared up the arthritis. Any recommendations? Thanks

Look at the list of inflammation producing foods and go by that as best one can.

Do best to keep more alkaline balance in the body. Keep flushing with quality water.

If you know pepper did the flare, then avoid too much pepper.

I tried those for a while and they didn't seem to do anything. Or maybe I never realized they did. Do you use a higher quality brand?

For rheumatoid arthritis (which my mother had) it was vegetables from the nightshade family (potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant.) That's all I know but when she avoided those foods, she had absolutely no arthritis. It's not black pepper, that's fine. It's the peppers that are related to tomatoes.

I don't know about osteoarthritis.

It seems like its so hard for me to avoid spices. Last week I bought a chicken salad from the supermarket and discovered it had red peppers inside

I know. I don't even like peppers but lately they're in everything. They were even in cole slaw!

Omega 3 supplements help me, as well as eliminating nightshades. But histamine blocker supplements help the most.

If you Google "anti-inflammatory diet" I believe you'll find what you're looking for.

Interesting to check what you're eating now versus what is recommended and not recommended. Then you can decide what to add or eliminate from your diet.
